Oh jesus, it's been way too long since I've updated this! Sorry.....
Last weekend Potter, the refugees, and I went apple picking....came back and made pie, applesauce, and apple bars...and we still have plenty of apples to spare! Crazy times. Pictures are on facebook, I'm too lazy to post them in here. Haha.
On Wednesday Potter and I went to the
Terra Cafe for lunch. It was started by Ecologic and Engineers for a sustainable World people. It's a full service restaurant (you sit down and they serve you!) where the meals are 100% local (within 100 miles). Every week they do a veggie/salad, main course (meat and veggie), drink, and dessert. Last week it was salad (local dressing, too), stuffed peppers, cider, and apple pie! Delish. I'd been meaning to go for weeks but kept either forgetting or having other things to do (it's only on Wednesdays). But it was fun, and a great deal ($5 for the whole thing), so hopefully I'll make it back more!
I think it was also last weekend when Grace (friend from Emma Willard who still lives in the area and practically now lives at the refugee's place) and I pranked all the refugees when they went out and we felt like staying in. They have yet to learn that they can't leave us alone in their house; every time they do we prank them all! Last weekend there were three: First, we attacked Robin's room. He for some odd reason has tons of condoms (TONS. 38. We counted. [Plus 2 sample packs of lube]). Soooo we decided to decorate with them!

Needless to say that one was one of the best. :D They had had a magic tournament before heading out (uber dorky, I know...) so we took all of Pierson's cards that were in little protective sleeves and decorated the kitchen....(it took him forever to find them, too. He realized they were missing but kept walking past them, I don't know how...)

Brian had a huge roll of Police Line-Do Not Cross tape, so we covered the doorway to his bedroom (Potter later walked right through it, as he had lost most depth perception in his drunken state, haha). Anyway, it looked pretty sweet before being ripped down:

And last was Potter. He has a huge bowl of change sitting on his desk. Grace and I actually had counted it earlier that night when we were bored ($28.08 US, $0.76 Canadian, $0.01 Malaysian...I kid you not). Anyway, it turned out that he had gotten pretty drunk at this party that they were at, so we decided to line the top of his door with all the coins, with the hope that he wouldn't see them in his drunken stupor, pull open the door, and get rained on by $28.85. Well, since he was the last to find his prank, Grace and I were giggling pretty hard and he got too suspicious and found them. Oh well. We still shook the door and made them all fall, anyway!

So that was it for the pranks. Sooo much fun, though. In other news, the squirrels on this campus are getting ballsy, especially in studio. Kristina Huxel and I chased one around the building (basement and first floors) for a good 10 or 15 minutes before he finally ran out a window. They come in looking for food and find it!

And lastly, here are a few pretty leaf shots for you all, including Andrew's stoplight! I think the second is my favorite, though :)

And with that, I bid you all adieu!
