Goshdarnit, I'm too nice of a person sometimes, I swear.
So there's this dude in architecture here at RPI. He'll remain nameless. Anyway. He's been in my structures group all semester and has done very little work, and when he does it's of very poor quality. He's always skipping meetings and turning things in late and is all in all a big headache.
Everyone's in the library now researching for the Modernity exam, and I saw him going around table to table asking people if they had books for such-and-such an architect or if they knew of any info. I told myself I wouldn't be particularly helpful if he came over to me, just out of spite.
But I guess it turns out I'm not a spiteful person, because when he asked me for help I suddenly found myself leading him around the library giving him sources and helping him find books. Afterwards, I sat back down and thought "Why did I just do that?"
Maybe it's because the soundtrack to "Charlie Brown Christmas" by Vince Guaraldi has put me in a good mood. Or maybe it's the inches of snow accumulating outside. Who knows?
